Kindling Book Club Kickoff
Join us for the inaugural Kindling Book Club! This club aims to be a supportive space to explore mental health & wellness books together over the course of several weeks. We’ll dive into a title—processing insights, reflecting on how they apply to our own lives, and sharing a collective moment. Once we finish a book, we'll take a breather before starting the next. Connect with neighbors and grow in community! Hosted at the Snohomish Running Company space in downtown Snohomish.
Time: First book club meeting on June 2 at 6:30 pm.
Location: 811 Rainier St, Snohomish, WA 98290
Expectations: While perfect attendance isn't required, we hope that participants will commit to attending for the duration of a book (5-6 weeks) as this can go a long way towards building connection and a space where participants feel they can share openly. Plus respect and kindness!
Book Options: 'Secure Relating' by Ann Kelley and Sue Marriott, 'No Bad Parts' by Richard Schwartz, 'Set Boundaries, Find Peace' by Nedra Glover Tawwab, 'Adult Children of Emotional Immature Parents' by Lindsay Gibson, 'The Nature Fix' by Florence Williams, 'Maybe You Should Talk to Someone' by Lori Gottlieb, or 'The Myth of Normal' by Gabor Mate. We'll have a chance to discuss these options and vote at the June 2nd book club.
