The Kindling Book Club is a cozy, low-pressure space to dive into meaningful literature alongside fellow community members. Each selection runs as a weekly 7- to 8-week reading, giving us time to move through the book chapter by chapter, process insights together, and share thoughtful conversation. Once a book is complete, we take a few weeks off before launching into our next reading.
Why a community book club?
At Kindling, we believe that true growth happens in relationship with others. We wanted to offer a dedicated space for folks to gather, reflect, and engage deeply with ideas that support emotional well-being and personal development. Here are a few reasons why we love reading in community:
Shared reflection deepens understanding: Reading about mental health and wellness on your own is valuable, but discussing concepts with others helps process insights, unlock new perspectives, and bring book wisdom into daily life.
Cultivating authentic connection: Sharing thoughts on meaningful topics in a supportive, peer-centered environment creates genuine vulnerability and reduces feelings of isolation.
A structured pause for your mind: Committing to a collective reading group offers a gentle rhythm to step away from screens, prioritize self-care, and hold quiet, intentional time for yourself.
Grounded, accessible growth: Exploring wellness literature together provides practical tools for building resilience, understanding ourselves better, and moving toward a more connected tomorrow.
